This is the first Dental Assisting School of its kind in North Alabama
Originally founded in Atlanta in 1987, North Alabama Dental Assisting Program is the oldest and most experienced dental assisting program of its kind in the country. Our program is not only the oldest and most well established of its kind in the area, but in the country, as it was started over 25 years ago. In a very short amount of time, students become properly trained and prepared to work side by side with the dentist. To be admitted into the program, you MUST have a high school diploma, GED, or the equivalent. Benefits of this program include comprehensive instruction by dental professionals, a small class size, and hands-on training in a practicing dental office. Upon completion of this program, students are given a Certificate of Completion in Dental Assisting and are trained in Dental Radiology.
This program is unique because it is a 14 week course, taught on 10 Saturdays out of the 14 week period with 4 additional weeks allotted to finish and master clinical requirements, and costs thousands less than a year long dental assisting program at neighboring colleges. Why spend the first four months sitting in a classroom before picking up the first dental instrument? In the North Alabama Dental Assisting Program, students will learn to work with dental equipment the very first day! Our method of teaching includes a swift yet organized process that allows students to acquire hands-on training in a state-of-the-art dental facility which houses general dentists, a pediatric dentist, an oral surgeon, and an orthodontist. Our program also has a 5:1 student:instructor ratio.
We are licensed by Private School Licensure Division, Alabama Community College System. Please contact us with any questions about this exceptional dental assisting program.
